POWERGROUP Resources, on behalf of our client Spring Creek Quail Farms, is seeking a motivated Sales Representative. The role of the Sales Representative (Ontario Meat and Eggs) is to establish and service a market in Ontario for fresh and frozen quail meat.  This involves developing and working with leads in the sales pipeline as well as maintaining B2B relationships with existing customers.   

Exceptional communication and relational skills are required for this position. Ability to communicate with customers, consumers, logistics and production in a professional and organized manner is a crucial skill.  One of Spring Creek Quail’s values is ‘Driven’, and this position is at the forefront of that.

What we need from you:

• Minimum 2 years sales experience.

• Post-secondary education in retail and sales, business administration, marketing, or a related field is an asset

• Specialized knowledge and applied skills in the retail Food industry are an asset.

• Tenacious and driven to improve and grow SCQ’s Ontario sales network

• Excellent understanding of distribution networks

• Experience in pricing structures and product configurations

• A professional demeanor and attitude

• Highly motivated, competitive, strong work ethic, exceptional customer service skills.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

• Willingness and ability to travel weekly throughout Ontario

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Process oriented, ability to close a deal

• Competence in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Valid G driver’s license

What you will do:

• Maintain frequent contact with customers to solicit order requirements, ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement

• Leverage customer lists to find leads for quail meat

• Bring leads through the sales pipeline, achieve first sale 

• Maintain relationships with buyers and store managers

• Cold calling to develop sales leads

• Find opportunities for quail egg sales in Ontario

• Sales research and meeting preparation
